By mastering the operation of an atomic force microscope, in this article Shailesh investigates the coupling of single NV-centers to plasmonic modes of silver nanowires by placing diamond nano-crystals at the nanowires apex and in the gap between two end-to-end aligned silver nanowires.
The experimental results are supported by detailed theoretical calculations which are presented in the article as well.
